Course Description

Address modern systems engineering principles through systems definition and requirements engineering to systems analysis and the design, implementation, operation, and technical management of systems projects, designed with substantial industry input. Explore a wide range of systems engineering principles and development methodologies. Become familiar with the financial and management issues associated with the development of complex engineering systems in a hands-on environment.

Who Should Attend

How You Will Benefit

  • Apply the benefits of systems thinking and systems engineering to a "real-world" project
  • Describe systems engineering functions, life cycle, management, problems, and challenges
  • Judge the applicability of proposed process, strategy, or methodology for systems engineering
  • Critique and create systems engineering architectures
  • Be able to structure and lead a conceptual design effort
  • Apply the most essential systems engineering tools to realistic problems
  • Develop a systems engineering plan for a project
  • Recognize the value and limitations of modeling & simulation
  • Formulate an effective plan for gathering and using data
  • Determine the effects of manufacture, maintenance, and disposal on system's cost and value
