Course Description
Review the basics of test & evaluation and modeling & simulation. Modeling & simulation basics include model construction, model taxonomy, the availability of modeling & simulation resources, and model verification, validation, and accreditation. Examine examples of traditional applications of modeling & simulation to test & evaluation. Explore the development of new applications to streamline the product development and test & evaluation processes, along with their effects on test & evaluation, M&S, and their relationships.
Who Should Attend
How You Will Benefit

Instructors
Dana Stocks, director of education and training at Georgia Tech Test & Evaluation Research and Education Center, has been
heavily involved in modeling & simulation as it applies to test & evaluation. She served as software lead for the development of the
MARION tool while under contract with the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center and performed an accreditation study for a test & evaluation application of modeling & simulation for the Army Operational Test and Evaluation Command. Stocks also helped produce a handbook on target location system test & evaluation. She has been a research scientist for Georgia Institute of Technology since 1990.
George A. "Fred" Wright, principal research engineer and chief engineer for the Systems Evaluation Division at Georgia Tech Research Institute, received a B.S. in 1986 from Memphis State University and his M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1987 and 1996. He focuses on technology support for novel C2 paradigms and has developed network-centric test and evaluation concepts and systems for all of the services and is supporting testing for the Marine Corps, Army, and Air National Guard. In addition, he works within the Joint System Integration Command at Joint Force Command to devise approaches to operational picture utilization and development.
