The Premier Executive Education Development Program for Global Supply Chain Leaders

Program Description

This course focuses on several key dimensions that are relevant to the challenge of managing and improving global supply chains, and on structuring and implementing effective global supply chain strategies. With an emphasis on developing priorities and initiatives that are aligned with an organization's core business and overall supply chain goals and objectives, topics to be highlighted include: supply chain process design; supply chain risk and uncertainty; financial implications; relationships and outsourcing; and leadership and change management. These topics are particularly relevant to modern enterprises, where process integration is a key to success, and where there is much greater transparency and collaboration between traditional boundaries of function, organization, and geography. Often these relationships and processes have a truly global context, thus creating the truly globally-integrated supply chain. Program participants examine critical issues related to planning, designing, and operating highly effective, integrated supply chains.

Learning Objectives

  • Global Supply Chain Process Design - How to identify and understand key global supply chain processes and to develop a plan that will create competitive and financial advantage through better supply chain management.
  • Supply Chain Risk and Uncertainty - How to prioritize and manage risk factors that impact supply chains and to formulate a viable risk management strategy.
  • Financial Implications - How to measure and understand financial drivers of supply chain success and to develop a strategy for supply chain financial performance measurement and improvement.
  • Relationships and Outsourcing - How to structure global supply chain relationships to create efficiency and effectiveness, and how to meaningfully leverage outsourced logistics opportunities for overall supply chain success.
