Biography

Bringing over 25 years of project and product management experience to the Georgia Tech Project Management program, Shabazz is a subject matter expert in healthcare industry application and related topics. As a strategy and management consultant, Shabazz specializes in healthcare reform projects, operations, revenue performance management, and business process improvement for both payers and providers. In addition to lecturing for the Project Management program, Shabazz works as the NSF civic project manager for the School of History and Sociology at Georgia Tech. His extensive international experience and people development skills translate into a personable and authentic teaching style. He is an extreme motivator and enjoys helping students comprehend and tackle complex topics in a way that can be understood by all. Shabazz currently serves as chairman-board of directors for YMCA Atlanta-Metro’s East Lake Family Branch. Shabazz holds a MBA from Emory and is a PMP.
