Kerry Jarvis, marketing manager for Georgia Tech-Savannah, has been chosen for the 2019-2020 Leadership Class. Led by the Savannah Area Chamber, Leadership Savannah seeks to inspire individual leadership growth by providing the learning experiences that lead to a better understanding of the community and prepare for meeting community challenges of the present and future.
Consisting of 44 community-minded individuals who have made a public commitment to improving Savannah, the class members will attend monthly interactive sessions lead by top community experts in their field beginning in September and concluding in June 2020 with a graduation ceremony.
By the conclusion of the program, participants will have a better understanding of their individual leadership styles, and a deeper knowledge of the community and how it fits into the regional, state, national and global economy. They will also have identified major challenges facing the Savannah area, build relationships with other class members and community leaders, and developed a deep commitment to making the community a better place to live and work.
