Hazmat
The Hazmat Training program is the instructional component of Georgia Tech's Center for Emergency Response Technology (CERTIP), which has been recognized as an outstanding program three times by governmental leaders and organizations. The courses will teach you to prepare yourself and your co-workers to safely and effectively respond to hazardous materials incidents if and when they occur at your workplace.

- 24-Hour Hazmat Technician-Level Emergency Response Course: Industrial Chemical Spill and Disaster Response (HAZ 1000P)—
Learn the basic knowledge and techniques required for personnel responding proactively to hazardous material spills in an industrial setting and by OSHA for demonstrated competency at the Hazmat Technician Level under 29 CFR 19190.120 (q) (6)(iii).
- 8-Hour Annual HAZWOPER Refresher (HAZ 1002P)—
Meet your HAZWOPER requirements for annual refresher training.
- Advanced Hazmat School (HAZ 1006P)—
Gain advanced knowledge and techniques in decontamination procedures, as well as training for atmospheric hazards, basic sampling considerations, and details on the types of instruments most commonly used in hazmat work.
- Certified Hazardous Materials Management (CHMM) Review Course (EST 7006P)—
Prepare for the CHMM exam with this intensive review course.
- Hazardous Materials (OTI 2015P)—
Get an overview of OSHA's general industry standards and other consensus and proprietary standards relating to hazardous materials.
- HAZWOPER Site Operations (HAZ 1004P)—
Suit up in protective equipment, including a self-contained breathing apparatus and totally encapsulated chemical protective suits, and go through drills emphasizing a variety of skills necessary on hazardous waste sites. Meet your HAZWOPER 40-hour training requirement.
