Course Description
The IT Management Program is designed to help IT managers develop their leadership skills and business acumen, and effectively manage teams, projects, and processes to deliver superior value. The IT Management core curriculum consists of five modules (modules 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8) that cover the fundamentals of successfully managing the IT function, while an additional three modules (modules 1, 5 and 6) provide an understanding of the overall business context and leadership approaches.
Who Should Attend
This program is designed for IT managers in the central IT function, and distributed IT areas, as well as managers in other functional areas with IT interface responsibilities. Typical participants are high potential IT specialists who are moving into leadership roles that require them to manage teams, personnel, vendors, and relationships, while delivering effective business solutions to their internal and external clients. The program is also suitable for other managers who need to develop a better understanding of the role of IT in the enterprise.

Session 6: Managing Change

Session 7: Managing IT Operations and Risks
- Develop the skills to manage the risks involved in IT investments

Session 8: Managing Outsourced Relationships
- Understand the cost – benefits of IT outsourcing
- Develop a framework to decide what to outsource or offshore
- Develop a vendor management approach that creates effective partnerships
