Course Description

Many developers find the need to develop products that can operate with both JMPS and FalconView or be easily migrated. Learn how to abstract your product into its business logic and GUI components in a manner that is compatible with both systems. As a major developer in both the PFPS and JMPS systems, GTRI has a unique perspective on interoperation.

Who Should Attend

  • Developers needing to stretch their development funding by developing a single overlay for both environments or needing to transition from one environment to the other

How You Will Benefit

  • Develop multitiered data architecture
  • Compare the JMPS and FalconView Overlay Design Model
  • Utilize Common framework tasks and common controls
  • Develop overlays for FalconView and JMPS with a common code base
  • Learn the proper development models to use when working in both environments - including preference control re-use
  • Estimate costs of supporting both environments or transitioning existing tools

What You Will Cover

  • Developing to a Common Baseline
  • JMPS Overlay Structure
  • JMPS Preference Controls
  • Separating Common Controls and Base Code
  • FalconView Overlay Structure
  • FalconView Preference Controls
  • Creating Common Components
