Course Description

Learn how to use FalconView for mission planning and situational awareness. Explore central overlays, common tools, basic route planning, and data limitations and uses, along with tips on system maintenance.

Course Materials

Course Materials Participants receive copies of course materials and labs.

Participants should bring Portable Flight Planning System (PFPS)/FalconView installed on a laptop. Non-Department of Defense students can obtain a commercial release of FalconView through Georgia Tech Technology Licensing by contacting Patrick Reed at patrick.reed@gtrc.gatech.edu or 404-385-2542. Note: Route planning is not included in the commercial version.

Participants should contact their appropriate support desk for aircraft specific CONOPS on data cartridge loading.

Certificate

This course is an elective for the FalconView Developers Certificate.

Security Requirements

Participants must be employees of either U.S. Government agencies or their contractors as well as be U.S. citizens. To meet this requirement, you must submit the Access Eligibility Form.

Instructor

Daniel Longhurst is a Senior Developer in the FalconView and JMPS mission-planning programs, previously taught computer programming at the M.S. and B.S. level at Southern Polytechnic State University and Georgia State University J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
