    Implement in your workplace the OSHA provisions provided by several private-sector personnel representing numerous industries. Learn about your rights and responsibilities under the OSHA Act. Successfully complete the course and pass a multiple-choice test to become an outreach trainer, authorized to conduct both 10- and 30-hour general industry courses.

    General industry voluntary compliance outreach trainers must take OTI 503 every four years to maintain their status as an outreach trainer.

    NOTE:
    If your Outreach Trainer status has been expired for more than 10 years, you will be required to attend OTI 511: Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry and meet the 5 year experience requirement. You will then be required to retake the OTI 501.

    Required Materials

    A copy of OSHA's 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standard (1900-1910.999 and 1910.1000 to end) is required for the course. If you already have a copy, bring it with you to class. If you purchase copy from Georgia Tech, it must be ordered at the time of registration.

    When you register, you may choose to purchase a parking pass for an additional $10 per day for each day of the course (Atlanta offerings only). The pass is valid for parking in the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center parking deck. Replacement passes are also available for $10 per day.
