Course Description

Develop the skills to perform targeted research and solutions architecting. Participants will learn advanced problem solving methods for eliciting useful information about the problem, and structuring a logical approach for identifying solution alternatives.

Learning Objectives

  • Convert complex problems and ambiguous needs statements into a well defined problem.
  • Identify relevant metrics and measures of merit for critiquing systems engineering architectures
  • Learn tools that help guide research efforts and maximize the utility of the resulting research products.
  • Learn to ask the right questions in order to elicit useful information about the problem.
  • Understand how to identify of a complete set of candidate solutions.
